LEEK Town boss Neil Baker has added three more newcomers to his squad for the new season which kicks off this Saturday.
Midfielder Charlie Walford, 19, has joined Blues after being released by Port Vale at the end of last season
Walford is a product of the League Two club’s academy who failed to make the first team.
Walford was offered terms by Baker after his a spectacular goal in the friendly against 1874 Northwich.
St Kits and Nevis international striker Zeph Thomas, 28, has also joined the club. He scored twice against Leek for Glossop North End in the FA Trophy last season. He has had spells with Sheffield FC, Frickley and Mickleover Sports.
Former Stockport County and Winsford United midfielder Harry Brazel has also been offered terms by Baker.
However, Baker has confirmed that former Crewe Alex full back Lewis Short, who he signed last month, has since decided his future lies with National League outfit Chorley.
Blues begin the new season in the EvoStik Northern Premier League away to Skelmersdale United this Saturday and quickly follow up with a visit from Droylsden next Tuesday (7.45pm).
Blues then journey to Merseyside to take on Litherland REMYC in the preliminary round of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday, August 25..
Litherland, who play in the North West Counties League Premier Division, beat Charnock Richard 4-2 at home in the extra preliminary round on Saturday.
