Biker seriously injured in collision with car on A53

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to crash in the Staffordshire Moorlands in which a motorcyclist sustained serious injuries.

The 56 year old male biker was taken to the Royal Stoke University after being in a collision with a car on the A53, outside Dunwood Hall, between Longsdon and Endon, on Saturday morning.

The occupants of the car escaped injury. Police closed the road for several hours while they carried out an investigation

The collision occurred shortly after 10am and involved a black Vauxhall Astra and a yellow Triumph Triple motorcycle.

Witnesses to the accident are asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 287 of August 11.
