Storm Bronagh has left its mark in North Staffordshire

STAFFORDSHIRE Police are warning that following last night’s storm there is lots of debris littering the county’s road network and some roads remain under water as a result of the heavy rainfall.

A police spokesman advised motorists: “Please take care when driving and consider leaving more space between you and the vehicle in front as your ability to brake is reduced in wet conditions.”

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service are urging motorists not to drive through floodwater.

Mill Lane, Wetley Rocks was one of a number of routes under water in the Staffordshire Moorlands last night.

The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert affecting rivers across the Moorlands as a result of the heavy rainfall.
