Blues boss is expecting better from his players in FA Trophy replay

LEEK Town will again be lacking the services through injury of proven goalscorers Tim Grice and Dan Trickett-Smith for their Buildbase FA Trophy preliminary round replay at Loughborough Dynamo tonight (Oct 14).

The two sides served up an uneventful goalless draw at Harrison Park on Saturday.

Blues boss Neil Baker, pictured, said: “I think they [Loughborough] came to get what they got, they delayed the game a lot, but credit to them they’ve done their job and got themselves a replay, but I think we can be better than that”

Tonight’s winners will travel to Belper Town or Stamford in the first qualifying round on Saturday, October 27.

Grice and Trickett-Smith are unlikely to available for a return to action for at least 10 days when Leek entertain Newcastle Town in the first round of the Integro League Cup.

Blues scheduled home league game against Kidsgrove Athletic this Friday has been postponed, as the latter are away to National League Hartlepool United in the Emirates FA Cup the following day.
