No game but Blues fans still have something to shout about

LEEK Town may be without a fixture tomorrow (Oct 20), but their fans will still have something very much to shout about.

Half-a-dozen former Blues payers are in the Kidsgrove Athletic squad for Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie away to National League Hartlepool United.

They are defender Alex Morris, midfielders Kyle Diskin and Tom France, and forwards Chris Budrys, Lee Cropper, and Anthony Malbon.

Blues assistant boss Peter Ward is also a former Kidsgrove manager to add further to the connection between the Evo-stik Northern Premier League West Division rivals.

Malbon missed last Saturday’s FA Trophy victory at Wishbech Town with a thigh injury, but he is expected to declare himself fit again to be fit for the trip up to the North East.

A new date is to be announced for Blues postponed scheduled home fixture against Kidsgrove in the NPL tonight (Oct 19).
