FIREFIGHTERS have had a busy night tackling two serious blazes in the Staffordshire Moorlands.
While five crews were tackling a huge farm fire at Cheddleton , three other crews were despatched to a house blaze in Knypersley.
Staffordshire and Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to the incident involving agricultural buildings and machinery at a farm off Basford Bridge Lane, Cheddleton at around 8.30pm. Crews have remained at the scene throughout the night.
A fire service spokesman said: “”We are just damping down and have been monitoring overnight and through the morning.”
It is believed no animals have been affected by the incident
The incident at Knypersley involved a log burner which had spread flames into the roof void of a house. No-one has been reported injured.
