LEEK Town will enter new territory when they face top-of-the-table Runcorn Linnets away in the Evostik Northern Premier League West Division this Saturday.
The Cheshire-based club are unbeaten at home, having collected 10 points from a possible 12, and have lost just three of their 12 league starts to date
On Tuesday night, the high-flying Linnets hammered Vauxhall 6-1 at home in the preliminary round of the Cheshire Senior Cup.
The Linnets gained acceptance to the Evo-Stik League this year after topping the North West Counties League Premier Division last season, finishing four points ahead of the league’s other West Division newcomers Widnes.
The supporters trust-run club was founded in 2006 and in 2010 moved into the newly-built Millbank Linnets Stadium, in Murdishaw Avenue, Runcorn (WA7 6HP), after previously ground-sharing with Witton Albion in Northwich.
The Linnets average home league attendance for the 2017-18 season was a healthy 374.
