Police name the woman killed in the A53 car crash

POLICE have named the woman killed in the horror crash on the A53 Leek to Buxton road on Saturday, in which three other people were seriously injured and are detained in hospital in a ‘stable’ condition.

She was 64-year-old Paula Miller, from the Westlands, Newcastle-under-Lyme, who was a passenger in one of the cars.

Two cars were involved in the collision close to the Winking man pub near to the village of Upperhulme shortly after 5pm.

Staffordshire Police have issued an urgent appeal for witnesses to the accident, which involved a Fiat 500 and a Peugeot 307. Call 101 and quote incident number 547 of November 10.
