Police issue appeal after girl is robbed at knifepoint in Cheddleton

POLICE are hunting a teenager who robbed a 16 year girl at knifepoint in a Staffordshire Moorlands village on Monday afternoon.

The girl was threatened and had a Pandora silver ring stolen from her while walking in Basford Bridge Lane, Cheddleton, at around 5pm.

Police have described the offender as a white male, 16 to 17 years old, around 5ft 7ins tall, and of slim build. He was wearing dark clothing and had his hood up.

PC Daniel Meredith said: “This is a very concerning incident that has left the 16-year-old victim frightened and shaken.

“We are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have witnessed the robbery, to come forward and help us catch the offender.”
