LEADING digital marketing agency SO Marketing has confirmed its commitment to the Staffordshire Moorlands by investing £350,000 in its Leek headquarters.
As part of the investment the business, which was founded in Cheadle in 2007 by James Aberley and his wife Cathrine, is looking to increase its workforce to around 17.
aNew web designers, graphic designers, print production staff and sales and development personnel will be welcomed by the ward-winning company over the next two years.
SO Marketing has built up a portfolio of over 2,000 clients and an 11-strong workforce who operate from its impressive office building in Broad Street, Leek.
An impressive client list includes big names JCB, Keele University, Stafford Borough Council and Stoke-on-Trent City Council to name but a few.
With help from a £70,000 loan from the Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Grants for Growth fund, SO Marketing has bought the Leek building as part of an ongoing investment in the future of the business.
James Aberley said: “As a business, we focus on the things that we do well and we don’t bother with the things we don’t.
“We have a very unique approach when it comes to the way we deal with our clients and we win an awful lot of work from other agencies. We have got a reputation for getting things done.
“We have grown quite a bit over the years, we have added at least one member of staff a year to our team.”
He added: “When we moved to this building [Broad Street} a few years ago, it was always our intention to buy it one day and now we have reached our goal.”
The company wants to expand its services, by bringing its large format print services in-house and increasing the number of clients which use the business for website support.
James added: “We are investing in Leek and the Moorlands because we truly believe it is a great place to do business.”
