PEOPLE across Staffordshire are being invited to nominate carers, work colleagues, friends and family members for a prestigious award.
The Staffordshire Dignity in Care Awards, now in their fifth year, recognise groups and individuals who care for the most vulnerable amongst us with dignity and compassion.
The awards, which launched on ‘Dignity Action Day’ on February 1, are open to those who work in the care sector as well as informal and young carers.
There are seven award categories this year, including Dignity Champion, Leadership Award, Young Dignity Champion and Informal Carer of the Year.
Alan White, Deputy Leader at Staffordshire County Council and cabinet member for Health, Care and Wellbeing said: ” This year’s awards are also running alongside a major recruitment campaign to encourage more people to join the adult social care sector.”
