LEEK Carnival is set to make a spectacular colourful return in its full glory this summer.
The event will be taking place in conjunction with Party in the Park on Sunday, June 16.
The organisers, Leek Town Council events committee, are calling on townsfolk and local businesses to give this special family day their full support.
The carnival parade will set off from Ball Haye Green recreation ground at 12.30pm and make its way through the town centre to Brough Park, where the carnival queen will be officially crowned at 2pm.
Shops on the parade route are being invited decorate their display windows on a carnival theme to add extra colour to the proceedings.
Party in the Park as usual will have host of attractions to delight the thousands of visitors, including the return of the popular giant water-slide, live music at the bandstand , and John Collins Fun Fair.
Comedy dance troupe the Buxton Billerettes will provide additional entertainment and other attractions will include many stalls and sideshows, a licensed bar, hog roast and other refreshments.
Park in the Park in Brough Park will run from 11am until 5pm.
