LEEK Town Ladies completed their West Midlands Women’s Regional League programme with a resounding 7-1 victory away to Port Vale.
However, the Blues Babes didn’t find their shooting boots until the second half, when they netted six times without reply, after being held 1-1 at the break.
The visitors were trailing 1-0 before player-of-the-match Alana Copeland (pictured) forced the ball home to set up a barnstorming second-half performance.
Manager Ian Smith set the wheels in motion by bringing on Rehanne Mellor, Lucky Goodfellow, Emma Smith and Kirsty Ryder on the resumption.
Mellor responded by bagging a hat-trick, while Chantelle Gallagher helped herself to a brace and Goodfellow also got in the scoring act.
Leek signed off the season as worthy Division One North champions with 16 wins from 16 starts.
