Motorists warned not to quench their thirst by drinking alcohol

MOTORISTS affected by the Easter heatwave are being warned not to be tempted to quench their thirst by drinking alcohol.
The warning has been issued after four drink-drivers have been arrested in the Staffordshire Moorlands in 24 hours.
Police carry out roadside tests motorists in the county throughout the year, day and night, on anyone involved in a road traffic collision or anyone who is suspected of drink or drug driving.
A police spokesman warned: “If you drink or drug drive there is a high likelihood that you will be caught.”
