Third time lucky for Leek CSOB who lift Leek Cup after two recent final defeats

Leek CSOB players celebrate after Leek Cup success.

LEEK CSOB finally got their hands on some end-of-season silverware toniight (April 26), when they lifted the Leek Cup at the Hanley Town FC ground.
Their victims were their Staffs County Senior League Premier Division rivals Alsager Town reserves, who lost a tight contest 2-0.
It was a repeat of the scoreline that has seen Alsager beaten twice by Old Boys in the league this season.
Goals from Mike Keates (18 mins) and Mark Fox (80 mins) brought Old Boys their overdue cup success, after suffering defeats in both the League Challenge Cup and Staffs FA Vase finals in recent weeks. CSOB have also finished runners-up to Silverdale Athletic in the County League Premier Division.
