Police investigation pays dividends as man is charged with Endon Co-op shop burglary

A MAN has been charged following a burglary at a shop in Endon.

Matthew Brain, 21, of Peel Street, Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with burglary with intent to steal following an incident at Co-op on Leek Road at around 2.45am on Saturday ( June 15).

He has also been charged with possessing a sharp bladed article in a public place, driving whilst disqualified, and using a motor vehicle without insurance.

Brain has been released on conditional bail, and is due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on July 16.

Detective Constable David Stubbs, from Staffordshire Police CID, said: “Enquiries are on-going to locate a second man believed to be involved in this incident and we are appealing for any witnesses who can assist with our investigation to come forward.”
