Joy for Uttoxeter Town but despair again for Rocester FC

UTTOXETER Town gathered their first points of the season away to NKF Burbage in the Total Motion Midland League First Division tonight.
An own goal and a typical James Curley header saw Uttoxeter fight back from 1-0 down to win 2-1.
But it was not such a happy night for Rocester FC, who crashed 5-0 at Kirby Muxlowe, having lost by the same scoreline at Atherstone Town on Saturday.
Jordon Dodd missed from the penalty spot for Rocester, striking the same post he hit earlier in open play.
Rocester’s young keeper Charlie Wood saved a penalty before the hosts opened their account in the first half.
The Rocester team contained no fewer than seven teenagers and two other players under 21.
Tonight’s other MFL Division One results:-
Hinckley AFC 2, Coventry Copeswood 0; Paget Rangers 2, GNP Sports 3; Stapenhill 3, Cadbury Athletic 1; Studley 1, Lichfield City 3.
