New Miss Staffordshire a former Westwood College student

Christine Baker is campaigning against bullying.

A FORMER student at Westwood College, in Leek, is the newly-crowned Miss Staffordshire.
Christina Baker, aged 23, from Stoke, will now represent the county in the Miss Great Britain finals.
It is not Christina;s first taste of success in a beauty pageant, having achieved top five places in Miss Staffordshire, Miss Prom Super Model and Miss Galaxy England, before going on to claim the Miss Grand England title last year.
The customer service advisor wants to use her profile as Miss Staffordshire to not only raise cash for Cancer Research, in memory of her best friend Gayle Mitchell, who died after contracting breast disese at the age of 15, but also a personal campaign against bullying.
She tod The Sentinel newspaper: “I want to help try to stop violence, aginst women and men, both mental and physical violence.
“I suffered a lot of abuse when I was growing up, I used to get bullied and I want to let people know that they are not alone.”
