Grice brace buries the bogey at long last

Blues match-winner Tim Grice.

Leek Town 2, Kidsgrove Athletic 1
A TIM Grice brace gave Blues a long overdue victory against their North Staffordshire rivals in the BetVictor Northern Premier League.
Grice struck in the eighth and 78th minutes to give Leek their first win against bogey team Kidsgrove since 2018
Kidsgrove won both league games against Blues 2-1 last season and threatened to leave their rivals wanting again when Lee Williamson levelled on 52 minutes.
However, Blues record goalscorer was having none of it and sent home fans into raptures with his late winner.
That’s two wins from two starts now for Leek in the new South East Division.
Leek Town: Roberts, Goode, Keenan, Grocott, Harrison, Chadwick, Baker (Walford 54′), Reeves, Grice, Twyford, Bott (Short 71′).
