Hinckley AFC 2, Rocester 3
NEW Rocester boss Paul Wright waved his magic wand again to conjur up a second successive win against the odds for the Romans.
Again Rocester came from behind with a storming second half performance to beat Hinckley for the second week running.
The two players Wright brought with him from Eastwood Hanley were named in the squad for this FA Vase second qualifying round tie, namely Elisio Francisco and Asa Tomkinson.
Francisco got to start the game and netted the Romans equaliser, but Tomkinson had to wait until the 59th minute for his debut, when he came on as substitute to replace Zak Hill.
Hinckley took the lead through Liam Cross two minutes into the second half, and then Luke Shorthouse made it 2-0 after 65 minutes.
However, Rocester immediately hit back with two quick goals from Francisco (67 mins) and Derry Creighton (69 mins) to level and set up a grandstand finish.
The dramatic winner came from Jordon Dodd in the 87th minute to put the Romans into the draw for the first round proper.
