Rocester face a tough test ahead of return to Buildbase FA Vase action

Rocester boss Paul Wright.

WITH an important Buildbase FA Vase tie ahead of them, Rocester will hope to be injury free after their Walsall Senior Cup clash with Tividale at Hillsfield tonight (Oct 8), kick off 7.45pm.
The Romans hit the Wembley trail again this Saturday away to United Counties League Premier Division free-scoring side Quorn.
Rocester boss Paul Wright said: “Saturday will be a real test against a side that are scoring goals for fun and are currently sitting third in their respective division .
“Quorn are a league higher. However, we have done some homework and will have a plan in place to try and get something from the game.
“We have been in place for just over a month now and the lads have responded really well to what we are trying to do.
“There are lots of quality at the club, it’s just about filling players with confidence, giving them all roles and responsibilities and creating the correct environment for them to express themselves.
“We will be massive underdogs at Quorn and they will be expecting a nice passage into round two. It’s up to us to try and make sure we have no regrets at the end of the match,” he added.
Quorn have netted a total 11 goals in their last two league outings,. They won 5-0 away to Sleaford Town on Saturday, after beating Harborough Town 6-1 at home the previous weekend.
Rocester will be looking again to striker Jordan Dodd for goals. He has scored six times in six outings since returning from a brief spell with BetVictor Northern Premier League club Chasetown.
The Romans should be in good spirits for tonight’s game against Tividale after their 4-0 win away to Paget Rangers in the Midland League First Division on Friday night. But they face a tough test against a side from the MFL Premier Division.
