LAST year’s beaten finalists Leek CSOB face tough opener in this season’s competition, when they travel to take Foley Meir away this Saturday.
The two teams lie first and second respectively in the Staffrdshire County Senior League Premier Division respectively, with Old Boys six points clear in top spot.
Old Boys were beaten 3-0 by Silverdale Athletic in the 2018-19 Vase final at Staffiord Rangers ground in April, just days after their opponents had pipped them for the County Premier Division title.
Most of the damage was done in the opening four minutes, with goals from Jeff Jolley and Dom Thorley, who added a third goal eight minutes from time.
