Shops hit by landslide remain closed

FOUR shops in Cheadle town centre hit by a freak landslide last week remain closed for safety reasons.
An embankment collapsed in the early hours of Sunday, September 29, sending a retaining wall crashing down on the premises in High Street.
It resulted in two charity shops – the Samaritans and Douglas Macmillan – together with Xtraclean dry cleanders and Wrights Pies being shut until further notice.
