Blues Babes in SSE Women’s FA Cup action away to Leicester United this weekend

The SSE Women’s FA Cup Final is played at Wembley Stadium.

LEEK Town’s men’s and ladies senior teams both face the lure of Wembley Stadium this weekend.
The men are at home to Chasestown in the first round of the Buildbase FA Trophy tomorrow (Oct 26), while the ladies are away to Leicester United Ladies in the third qualifying round of the SSE Women’s FA Cup on Sunday.
The newly-promoted ladies have made an unbeaten start to the season in all competitions under coach Ian Smith and were rampant 6-0 winners at home to Leicester City Ladies in the previous round of the cup.
United earned their clash with the Blues Babes by seeing off Burton Albion Ladies 3-0 away at Rocester FC’s Hillsfield ground.
Since then United, who play in Division One of the Midland Women’s League, have parted company with their manager Nicolas Andrews.
United play at Signwright Park, Melton Sports Village, Melton Mowbray , LE13 1DR and Sunday’s match kicks off at 2pm. Adult admission £3.
