Football: Big night of local cup action

Rocester FC return to action tonight in Coventry.

PORT Vale, on a high after being drawn away to Manchester City in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup, drop down to more humble proceedings tonight, when they face League Two rivals Mansfield Town at home in the Leasing.co.Trophy (7.45pm).
The Lorne Street and Railway Paddock will be open to Vale fans.
The Vale are also in action at UTTOXETER TOWN tonight, where what is expected to be a youthful line-up will take on the Midland League side in the Staffs FA Senior Cup second round (7.45pm).
The winners will be away to BetVictor Southern League Central outfit Rushall Olympic, last season’s beaten finalists, in the quarter-finals.
ROCESTER FC are in action in the Midland League First Division tonight away to Coventry-based GNP Sports.
The travelling Romans after almost pulled off a shock result away to league leaders Leicester Road on Saturday.
Rocester boss Paul Wright said: “We deserved to have come away from something from the game.”
Leicester Road scraped through 2-1 and an official commented afterwards that Rocester were the best team they had played against this season.
