Cheddleton puts the Moorlands village on the map with a win at Bangor Races

A delighted trainer Jennie Candlish.

CHEDDLETON was a wide margin winner of the Consensus Workplace Novices Hurdle at Bangor Races today (Dec 13).
The horse is named after the village in the valley bottom below trainer Jennie Candlish’s hilltop Basford Grange yard.
The four-year-old gelding stormed clear by 19 lengths in the heavy going at the Welsh Border course to claim his second victory from three starts.
Jockey Sean Quinlan took the ride as Cheddleton justified his 4/5 odds as the race favourite in the seven-strong field.
