Blues ready to do battle with The Vikings

LEEK Town are expected to field a much changed line-up for tomorrow night’s (Jan 7) Integro League Cup second round tie at home to Widnes.
Blues boss Neil Baker is likely to see it as a opportunity to give some of his squad players precious game time.
Widnes are in the lower reaches of the BetVictor NPL North East Division but have won their last two games, at home to Kendal Town (4-0) and away to Droylsden (1-0).
The Vikings won’t be relishing their trip to take on the leaders of the South East Division who have won their last eight games.
Blues, however, will be aware that Widnes’ giantkilling act in the previous round, when they knocked out Premier Division Nantwich Town 6-5 away from home.

Admission prices have been lowered for the game (kick off 7.45pm): Adults £5, concessions £3.
