LEEK 1st XV return to the Twickenham trail in the National Intermediate Cup this Saturday.
Their journey will take them into Worcestershire, where they will face Malvern in the Midlands Region semi-final (kick off 2pm).
Leek narrowly beat Matlock 23-22 away to progress to the latest stage of the competition, which culminates with the grand final at the home of England Rugby.
The Leekensians were 2014 beaten finalists and are going well in Midlands Two West (North) this season.
They sharpened up for their return to serious cup action with 20-17 league win at Walsall last weekend.
Jack Newton-Taylor scored two of Leek’s tries in a thriller that saw the lead change hands several times.
Walsall were leading 17-15 with 10 minutes to go before Newton-Taylor bludgeoned his way over the try line to snatch a dramatic Leek victory.
