Leek Town Ladies 8, Coundon Court Ladies 0.
THE Blues Babes produced the perfect riposte to the disappointing first league defeat of the season they suffered the previous Sunday.
However, it wasn’t until the second half that Ian Smith’s ladies clicked into gear and scored seven times without reply.
Leek opened their account through Chantelle Gallagher in the first half, following good work by Liv Mountford, and were on top at the break without adding to their score.
Mountford got on the scoresheet herself on the resumption and then supplied Gallagher for her second and Leek’s third goal.
Gallagher completed her hat-trick from an opening created by Paris O’Connor and then the latter burst through to make it 5-0.
O’Connor later got her second when a Gallagher shot came back off the keeper.
Player-of-the-match Gallagher was in rampant form and scored her fourth goal after running onto Alana Copeland’s defence-splitting pass and then signed off with her fifth in the closing minutes.
