JORDAN Brown’s journey across Europe is set to continue with Derby County U19’s in the UEFA Youth League.
The Young Rams advanced to the last 16 of the competition by defeating Borussia Dortmund 3-1 at Derby’s Pride Park this afternoon.
The former Cheadle SMU junior capped a fine performance in midfield by getting in on the scoring act.
The victory made it five wins from five starts for Derby in their qualifying group.
“We’ve just knocked out one of the best youth teams in Europe,” said an elated Derby academy coach Justin Walker.
The draw for the 16 teams in the knock-out stages will be made this Friday.
Derby could now face Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan or Liverpool – among others who all progressed as winners from the group stages.
