Weather fears blow away outdoor market

FORECAST strong winds have caused ther cancellation of tomorrow’s (Feb 12) outdoor market in Leek.
Gusts of up to 25mph are expected to hit the Staffordshire Moorlands market town throughout the day, but the indoor market will be open as usual.
“The decision has been taken in the interests of public safety,” said district council spokesman.
The Met Office has also issued a warning about snow and ice affecting Leek and the surrounding district until around noon.
