Rail crossing work will stop motorists

A POPULAR alternative route with motorists will become inaccessible for five days from tomorrow night (Thursday).
Network Rail is installing new crossing barriers on the Crewe-Derby line at Catchems Corner on Caverswall Lane.
The lane links Caverswall with Meir Park and will be closed from 10pm until 6.30am on Monday.
A Network rail spokesman said: “This is really important work to modernise these level crossings and make sure they are fit for purpose.
“We are working hard to minimise disruption and a clearly sign-posted diversionary route for motorists will be in place.”
