Miss Staffordshire finalist Tania supports Macmillan hospice

THE warm sunshine attracted good support for the Dougie Mac 5k run-walk around the picturesque 240-acre Wedgwood Estate at Barlaston today.

Hundreds of people took part to raise money for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice, among them Miss Staffordshire 2017 finalist Tania Garside, from Leek,  pictured with a new friend she met at the event.

The hospice provides care and support for adults and families in North Staffordshire confronted with life limiting illness.

All services are provided free of charge and the hospice needs to raise £11 million each year through fund raising efforts and donations.

Tania, 24, a receptionist/administrator at an equine veterinary practice, said: “The Dougie Mac is very close to my heart as they looked after my nan until the end.

“I can’t thank them enough for making her feel at ease. I feel like I am in their debt forever.”
