Police name HGV driver killed in an early morning collision on the A500


POLICE have named the HGV driver killed in a collision on the A500 in Stoke-on-Trent on Friday

He was 30-year-old Roman Parsons, from Blurton, Stoke-on-Trent.

Police were called to the A500 northbound, Wolstanton,  at around 5am, after the vehicle Roman was driving was involved in a collision with another HGV.  Sadly, he passed away at the scene.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Our thoughts are with Roman’s family at this difficult time. The family are receiving the appropriate care and support from specially trained officers and have asked for their privacy to be respected whilst they come to terms with their loss.”

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has any information that could help with the investigation,  is asked to call Staffordshire Police on on 101, quoting incident 59 of  November 24.
