Trainee paramedic roles up for grabs – but respond quickly

TIME is running out to apply for a role as a trainee paramedic with the West Midlands Ambulance Service.

Applicants must have gained a minimum of five GCSEs at Grade C or above plus an A-level.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust spokesman said: “This exciting opportunity will enable applicants to be substantively employed by the trust completing recognised qualifications via our training academy.”

Training takes around 30 months. The trust has recruited more than 1,200 trainee paramedics since 2010.

The job entails a 37.5 hour week, working full rotational shift patterns after the initial 20-week training period. These will include evenings, weekends, Bank Holidays, nights, Christmas, New Year and Easter.

Deadline for applications is next Thursday (Feb 22).
