STORM Hector left its mark as it battered the Staffordshire Moorlands yesterday morning.
The fringe of the storm blew down this 75ft high lime tree (pictured) on a Werrington housing estate. Luckily no-one was injured.
The huge tree blocked the bottom of Kaydor Close, off Armshead Road, preventing residents from gaining access to and from their homes.
Hector caused havoc in the North West of the country with some of the strongest June winds ever to hit the UK.
Gusts of up to 100mph caused travel chaos as trees were flattened and power lines brought down.
