North Staffordshire cricket washed out by the rain

RAIN washed out almost the entire programme of fixtures in the North Staffordshire and South Cheshire Cricket League.

The entire Premier Division programme was cancelled because of the atrocious conditions. 

Many of those matches that did start were quite soon abandoned but a few survived.


Saturday, September 8

Division One

KNYPERSLEY 22-1 v CHEADLE. Abandoned after 5 overs. 2pts each.

ECCLESHALL 25-1 v MODDERSHALL & OULTON. Abandoned after 9 overs.

WOOD LANE 27-2 v CAVERSWALL. Abandoned after 9.3 overs. Caverswall 3pts, Wood Lane 2.

Division Four

ECCLESHALL 2nds 98-8 (Jake Derry 23; Paul Allen 5-45); CHEADLE 2nds 59-8 (Jack Degg 28; Christopher Gask 4-26). Match drawn. Eccleshall 2nds 5pts, Cheadle 2nds 4.

Division Six

HEM HEATH 4ths 97 (Phil Lewis 28; Richard Brooks 3-20); CAVERSWALL 2nds 101-4 (Christopher Baranowski 49). Caverswall (20pts) beat Hem Heath 4ths (3pts) by 6 wickets.
