Keeper Ryan makes it seven games unbeaten for FA Cup surprise package Solihull Moors

RYAN Boot made it seven consecutive clean sheets in goal for Solihull Moors when his side beat Harrogate Town 2-0 in the Vanarama National League last night.

The hero of Solihull’s televised FA Cup goalless draw against League One Blackpool, on Friday night, hasn’t now been beaten in more than 11 hours of playing time.

The Rocester-born stopper (pictured) can look forward to facing Premier League giants Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup, if Moors win their replay against Blackpool next Tuesday night.

Ryan was snapped up by Moors, managed by former Blackburn Rovers and England goalkeeper, after Port Vale decided not to renew his contract in April.

FORMER Cheadle SMU junior Jordan Brown played a key defensive role in Derby County U18’s 2-0 FA Youth Cup win at Blackpool last night.

The 17 -year-old from Cresswell, near Blythe Bridge, has been training with the Derby first team squad and turns out for the Rams U23’s in Premier Two despite his tender age.
