WERRINGTON Young Persons Support Group and the Co-op teamed to bring joy to dozens of less fortunate youngsters at Christmas.
Between them they collected more than 500 toys to deliver across North Staffordshire to disadvantaged children, young people spending the festive period in shelters due to domestic abuse, and those with incurable or life-limiting illnesses.
More than 20 Co-op food stores took part in the annual Kidz2kidz appeal.
Kidz2kidz chairman David Shaw said: “The child protection officers who distribute the toys for us said they had never seen anything like it before. The response has been wonderful and made this our best year ever.”
