Biker critically injured in Draycott crash

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a crash in which a motorcyclist was bady injured late yesterday afternoon (Jan 11).

The biker was in a collision involving two cars at Draycott, near Blythe Bridge.

Emergency services were called to the incident, on Uttoxeter Road, near the Chandi Cottage restaurant, shortly after 5pm.

The road between the Draycott roundabout and Tean was closed for a number of hours while accident investigators probed the scene.

The biker, from Stoke-on-Trent, is detained in the Royal Stoke University Hospital, where his condition is described as ‘critical’. The car drivers escaped injury.

Witnesses to the accident are asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident 474 of January 11.
