HOUSEHOLDERS in the Staffordshire Moorlands are facing continued disruption to their council waste collection service.
The snow and ice on Wednesday affected collections in areas including Leek, Biddulph, Biddulph Moor and Werrington.
A district council spokeswoman said: “Rural outlying areas and untreated side roads are proving to be very difficult to access safely.”
She advised householders: “If your bin is not emptied please leave it out. We know the areas we have not been able to reach and will try to get back to you if the weather improves.” f
