Keates double makes it a century of league goals this season for Leek CSOB

A MIKE Keates brace took Leek CSOB onto the 100-goal mark for the season in the Staffordshire County Senior League Premier Division at Pointon Park last night (March 27).

Kates’ double strike gave Old Boys a 2-1victory over visitors Tunstall Town at Pointon Park, Cheddleton.

Old Boys, who have already guaranteed themselves runners-up spot behind champions-elect Silverdale Athletic, face Audley at home in the Leek Cup semi-finals this Saturday (kick off 3pm).

The winners will face Alsager Town or Hanley Town in the final.

Alsager Town won 5-0 at home to Eastwood Hanley in last night’s other SCSL Premier Division fixture.

Cheadle United, from the Potteries and District Sunday League, take on Cheslyn Hay in the final of the Staffs FA TB Williamson Cup tonight.

The game is being played at the Brocton FC ground, in Silkmore Lane, Stafford, kick off 7.30pm.

It is United’s second appearance in the final in three years.
