Police unearth two cannabis farms in the Staffordshire Moorlands within 24 hours

Members of the public are asked to report possible drugs activity to Staffordshire Police.

POLICE have unearthed two cannabis farms within 24 hours in the Staffordshire Moorlands.
The first discovery was made within an industrial unit in Leek on Friday, where cannabis plants were found growing hidden behind a false wall.
Police have not revealed details of the location, but a spokesman said: “The individual involved has gone to great lengths to hide his illegal activities.”
The second cannabis farm was found in a property on a housing estate in Werrington the following day.
Loca residents reported a large police presence in the Brentwood Drive/Stonehouse area of the village
Three people have been detained and police enquiries are on-going.
The raid at Werrington was the result of a tip-off from the public.
