Uttoxeter Racecourse a winner with the town’s elderly after ladies meeting is abandoned

UTTOXETER Racecourse management team have been out and about delivering surprise bouquets to the elderly in the town today (June 13).
Lots of freshly cut flowers had been delivered to the course for today’s ‘Ladies Night’ meeting , but the popular fixture was abandoned at the eleventh hour due to the course being waterlogged.
It was then the decision was taken to deliver the bundles of flowers to local care and retirement homes for the elderly, rather than let them go to waste.
* Racegoers who purchased tickets for tonight’s abandoned meeting have the option to transfer Ladies Day on Friday, July 26, when Martin Kemp will take to the decks for a DJ set after racing.
However, the Premier enclosure for this date has limited availability, therefore it is strictly available on a first come first served basis.
Those who are not able to attend on this date have the option to transfer to another 2019 fixture of choice or alternatively receive a refund.
